1. Check For Harmful Ingredients: 

Glazes used on stoneware can sometimes contain harmful materials like lead. So, make sure the glaze is labeled as “lead-free” or food safe clay glaze.

2. Look For Food-Safe Glaze: 

Many modern glazes are safe for food use because they don’t have harmful stuff in them. To be sure, always check the label or info from the manufacturer. Without Food-safe glazing, your food may be converted into acidic foods.

3. Test For Safety: 

If you’re unsure, test your clay particles. You can use lead testing kits to check if the glaze is safe.
